Australia Skilled Visa - EOI Selection

Four Hundred Fifty (450) EOIs were selected in the invitation round for Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189) and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491) - Family Sponsored held on 11 December 2019:

  1. Skilled Independent Visa (SC 189) - 250 EOIs - cut-off points 95
  2. Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (SC 491) - Family Sponsored - 200 EOIs - cut-off points 95

PRO-RATA SELECTIONS)

Due to high demand, the following Occupations are subjected to pro-rata selections to ensure that selections are spread throughout the year (July 2019 - June 2020) and not exhausted early in the year. Points score for these occupations in 11 December 2019 selection round was as under:

  1. Occupation Code 2211 - Accountants - Points Score 100
  2. Occupation Code 2212 - Auditors, Company Secretaries and Treasurers - Points Score 95
  3. Occupation Code 2334 - Electronics Engineer - Points Score 95 (100 points for 491 visa)
  4. Occupation Code 2335 - Industrial, Mechanical & Production Engineers - Points Score 95
  5. Occupation Code 2339 - Other Engineering Professionals - Points Score 95
  6. Occupation Code 2611 - ICT Business and Systems Analyst - Points Score 95
  7. Occupation Code 2613 - Software and Applications Programmers - Points Score 95
  8. Occupation Code 2631 - Computer Network Professionals - Points Score 95

SKILLED NOMINATED VISA (SUBCLASS 190)

Skilled Nominated visas (subclass 190) are not subject to occupation ceilings. Also, EOIs of those nominated are selected from the pool automatically and they are invited to apply for residence visa. In November 2019, One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty (1,560) applicants received nominations from State and Territory Governments with Victoria (390), Queensland (378), New South Wales (292), South Australia (130) and Australian Capital Territory (118) nominating the highest number of applicants.

NEXT SELECTION ROUND

The next selection round is expected to take place on 11 January 2020. Invitation numbers and selection points will depend upon the number of applications being processed by the department.
