AUSTRALIA IMMIGRATION - Migrate to Australia, world's sixth largest country with growing economy. Australia has a healthy economy, widely regarded as the best performing amongst first world countries, has comparatively low unemployment and high growth prospects. Australia has lately made significant changes to the General Skilled Migration (GSM) policy and has also signalled it's intention to introduce a two step General Skilled Migration Policy (GSM) effective from July 2012 - applicants initially submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to migrate to Australia and than submit Residence Visa application if invited to do so.

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible you must meet the following basic requirements
- score 65 or more marks
- be aged 49 years or under
- meet Health, Character, English language and Australian Value Statement requirements
- nominate an occupation on the Skill Shortage List (SOL) & obtain positive skills assessment for same
- meet Australian studies requirement or have skilled employment for 12 months within last 24 months

New Zealand Citizens
New Zealand Citizens and eligible residents do not need visa to travel to Australia and can live, work or study in Australia indefinitely. However you cannot access certain social security payments or obtain Australian citizenship or sponsor family members for permanent residence and if you wish to do so, you must obtain Australian Residence.
