If you are a business owner, senior executive or investor and wish to set up a new business or buy an existing business in Australia  you may qualify for a provisional business visa as a pathway to securing permanent residence in Australia.

Business Owner Provisional Visa: If you have had a successful business career, are less than 45 years old, have vocational level of English, have business assets of AUD 200,000 or more, total assets of AUD 800,000 or more, annual turnover of AUD 500,000 or more and have requisite ownership of your business, you may be eligible for the Business Owner Provisional Subclass 160 visa. 

State or Territory Sponsored Business Owners:  If you have had a successful business career and are sponsored by the appropriate regional authority of a State or Territory Government you will be eligible for the State/Territory Business Owner Prrovisional Subclass 163 visa. You must be less than 55 years, have net assets valued at AUD 500,000 or more, sufficient additional assets to settle in Australia and have requisite ownership of your business.

Validity & Other requirements: The provisional visa is valid for four (4) years. You can bring your family along and they will have work and study rights. You cannot access family assistance or social security payments on the provisional visa. 

Pathway to Permanent Visa:  If you have met the conditions of the provisional visa, you could apply for a permanent visa after two (2) years.
