SKILLED MIGRANT CATEGORY (SMC)
SMC is a two-step points based New Zealand Resident Visa category for applicants aged 20 - 55 years, meeting health, character and English language requirements

you submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to migrate to New Zealand, if you score 100 or more pointsall EOI's are pooled and selected every fortnight based on established selection criteriaupon selection of your EOI, you will be issued Invitation To Apply (ITA) for New Zealand Resident Visa

you submit your New Zealand Resident Visa application upon receipt of ITA
For a successful outcome, you need to demonstrate your ability or potential to successfully settle in and contribute to New Zealand. If you demonstrate your ability for successful settlement or are assessed as having a high potential to secure skilled employment in New Zealand, your New Zealand Resident Visa application will be approved. If you are assessed as having potential to successfully settle in New Zealand, decision on your New Zealand Resident Visa application will be deferred and you will be issued SMC Job Search Visa to enable you to come to New Zealand and secure skilled job offer. Upon securing skilled job offer your new Zealand resident visa application will be approved
SMC JOB SEARCH VISA (SMC JSV)
If you are issued SMC JSV, decision on your New Zealand Resident Visa application will be deferred for 12 months and you

will need to travel to New Zealand within 3 months from issue of your SMC JSV

will have 9 months from arrival in New Zealand to secure skilled job offer
You can work for any employer on your SMC JSV while you find skilled employment. However, you must secure a skilled job offer within 9 months for your New Zealand ResidentVisa application to be approved.
RESIDENCE FROM WORK - PATHWAY TO RESIDENCE
Residence from Work policy provides direct link to secure New Zealand Residence Visa and is a pathway to secure Residence and settle in New Zealand. You will qualify, if you have been issued work visa under the Work To Residence (WTR) policy and you have worked for 2 years, met your visa requirements and meet the minimum base salary requirements as under

LTSSL Occupation- base salary of NZ $ 45,000

Talent (Accredited Employer)- base salary of NZ $ 55,000

BUSINESS VISA

FAMILY VISA
Family category visa is for partners,parents, siblings, adult children and dependent children of New Zealand Citizens and eligible New Zealand Residents wishing to join family members in New Zealand. To be eligible for residence visa

partners must be living together for 12 months or more in a stable and genuine relationshi. If not, they will initially be granted work visa to allow them to live together and issued residence visa thereafter

parents must have equal or more children living in New Zealand than in any other country

sibling must not have any other family member living in the same country and must have a job offer.
