Requirements for Active Investor Plus (A1+) Visa

The A1+ visa encourages direct investments in New Zealand companies rather than passive investments in private equity, venture capital, listed equities and philanthropy. To qualify for Active Investor Plus Visa, Investors need to meet the following requirements:

• must commit to either:
  • direct investment of NZD 5 million; or
  • indirect investment of NZD 15 million
• invest over 3 year period and maintain the same until the end of the 4th year;
• spend at least 117 days in New Zealand over the 4 year period;
• need to meet English language requirements (IELTS 5).

Application Charge

Current application charge including immigration levy for Active Investor Visa is NZD 7,900 (application charge NZD 4,750 and immigration levy NZD 3,150).
